I got in my time-travel machine and traveled back to 1796 and visited my friend President George Washington at his home in Mount Vernon, Virginia. He was out in the backyard, mowing the lawn. It was one of those old-fashioned kind that worked when you pushed it. He was sweating and breathing heavy.
I asked him if I could cut the lawn for him. He said, “Thanks, Fred, that would be great!” I pushed the mower and had a good time. I loved the smell of the grass as it flew from the mower onto my pants and shirt.
